Bolzano/Cologne – WM technics is known in the world of ice maintenance for their innovations in driverless ice resurfacing technology. However, at their innovation hub in Bolzano, they understand that certain tasks still require manual workforce. For example, on mobile ice rinks, where large ice resurfacing machines with their automatic ice edgers cannot operate. Does this mean sacrificing new technologies and sophisticated designs? Not at all—as demonstrated by WM technics’ new Snip manual ice edger.
Product Details
Powered by a high-performance DC motor with a 24V/130Ah battery, the Snip operates electrically and is therefore emission-free. A special feature is the drive wheel equipped with spikes, which automatically presses the machine gently against the boards, allowing for precise guidance along the rink perimeter. With 12 blades on a 352-mm disc, the Snip delivers a fine cutting pattern with a continuously adjustable planing depth from +10 mm to -8 mm.
Practical details such as LED work lights, a mechanical depth indicator, a support wheel for easy maneuvering, and an intuitive operating concept complete the package. The Snip is type-approved and thus meets the highest safety standards.
Warranty Details
The warranty on a product that is delivered shall have a duration of 12 months from the delivery date, it being understood that this shall be the date on which the product is made available to the Customer in the Company’s plant.

Ice Building - Need More Water
When you're building up ice depth or using the water sprayer, more water is a must. The WM Shira has it all taken care of! The water and snow tanks can easily be connected into one water tank with a total volume of around 528 gallons of water. No more standing in cold water and tiresome tugging on hoses: All operations can be carried out from the comfort of the driver's cab - there's more than enough water to do the job.

Integrated Ice Edger
The edger is fixed to the body of the WM Shira, guaranteeing you outstanding stability and performance. It can be operated easily and safely from the driver's seat. The innovative horizontal spring-loaded system with guide wheel ensures that the edger follows the contours of the rink to perfection, and edges the ice evenly, rapidly and cleanly. Edging and subsequent cleaning of the ice surface with the swivel brushes can be carried out in one simple step. The edgers are positioned between the axels and in front of the brush, to ensure an unrestricted overview of the vehicle. When not in use, the edgers are stored between the wheels, and do not affect operation in any way.
